Quality Home Furniture
Program Document To the Trade — Guidelines & Procedures

Quality Home Furniture provides independent design professionals great convenience in every aspect of working with clients in North Texas. As an enrolled member, you have access to our full showroom, vendor catalog library, and dedicated coordinator support — from order placement through delivery and aftercare.

Our dedicated To the Trade Coordinator, Brian Jessup, is here to personally assist you and your client with product selection, pricing, special orders, and delivery scheduling. Please read these guidelines carefully. Program participation requires agreement to and ongoing compliance with all policies described below.

Paid by direct deposit. Includes any return adjustments. Returns result in full recovery of commission.
Protection plans are included in every Quality Home purchase price — your client receives coverage automatically as part of what they buy. Protection is not a separate add-on and is not a commissionable line item. Commission is calculated on the furniture selling price only.

Also not commissioned: Delivery and assembly charges, taxes, installation, and warehouse sale events.

If you choose to work alongside an existing Quality Home associate on a shared client project, the total commission rate is 10% — split 5% to you and 5% to the associate. If a Quality Home associate takes over the presentation during a visit without prior arrangement, commission splits automatically 5% / 5%.

Independent designers are responsible for their own tax reporting obligations. Quality Home Furniture issues a Form 1099-NEC for commissions earned. All members are required to submit a completed W-9 at enrollment.

Independent designers must disclose to their clients that they receive compensation for product purchased through Quality Home Furniture.

Warehouse sale events are not included in this program and do not generate commission.

Shopping Times & Showroom Access

Enrolled members are welcome to shop with their clients during all regular store hours. To receive the best service — including catalog access, sample pulls, and vendor pricing — we recommend scheduling an appointment with Brian in advance.

Brian can assist you with fabric checkouts, vendor catalog research, product comparisons, special-order pricing, and placing and following up on orders. Featured brands available through the program include England, Jonathan Louis, Mayo Furniture, Flexsteel, Quality Sleep, and our full showroom assortment.

Pricing Policy

Quality Home Furniture sells products at everyday discounted prices — typically 20–50% off the manufacturer's suggested retail price. The program commission is paid on this final selling price. No additional discounts are available to program members beyond our standard selling price.

Commission is always calculated on the actual selling price paid by the client — not on list price or any other reference value.
Deposit Requirements

A deposit is required at the time of order placement for all purchases.

Return & Reselection Policy

Quality Home Furniture's return and reselection policy applies to all purchases made through the To the Trade program. The client's experience is the designer's responsibility — please set expectations before delivery.

Return of any merchandise — by the designer or by the client — results in Quality Home's full recovery of the commission paid on that item. Designers should review the return policy with clients before placing orders, particularly for special orders and custom merchandise.
Payment Options

Quality Home Furniture accepts the following payment methods from clients:

Designer commission payments are made exclusively by direct deposit. Enrolled members must provide direct deposit banking information at the time of enrollment. Commissions are not paid by check or cash.

Texas Resale Purchasing: If you are purchasing under your own resale license (not having your client pay directly), you must submit a completed Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate (Form 01-339) to Brian at enrollment. A new certificate must be completed at the beginning of each calendar year. This is required by Texas law to purchase tax-exempt for resale.
Qualifications & Membership

To qualify for the Quality Home To the Trade program, you must be actively working as an independent design professional in the North Texas community. Membership is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

To apply, complete the membership application packet, which includes:

Once approved, you will receive a To the Trade member number and a welcome packet from Brian. Approval typically takes three business days.

Every enrolled designer is required to comply with the policies and procedures in this document. Failure to do so may result in removal from the program. All members agree to conduct their business in a professional manner consistent with the best interests of their clients, themselves, and Quality Home Furniture.

Quality Home Furniture reserves the right to modify, amend, or discontinue this program at any time without prior notice. Quality Home reserves the right to remove any designer from the program and to take action to recover amounts due in connection with returned merchandise or other program violations.
