If your dining room sees everything from weeknight homework to holiday dinners, the Nathan set from Elements International is worth a close look. The rectangular table carries an 18" removable leaf, so you can stretch it out when family visits and tuck the leaf away afterward. Fan back chairs with padded faux leather seats sit around a wire brushed grey oak finish with distressed markings, giving the room a relaxed farmhouse feel with clean, transitional lines. Pick the configuration that fits your space: four chairs, four chairs plus a bench, or six chairs.

Materials and Construction

The table is built from wire brushed rubberwood with a particle board top finished in melamine, and it uses a metal extension slide for the leaf. The chairs and bench pair a wire brushed rubberwood frame with a foam padded seat upholstered in PU faux leather (75% polyester, 25% polyurethane). The table and bench stand on square legs, and the chairs have straight legs. The manufacturer lists a weight capacity of 300 for the table, 300 lbs for each chair and 600 lbs for the bench. These pieces are made in Malaysia.

Assembly

Assembly is required for every piece. The table ships in 1 carton, each pair of chairs ships together in 1 carton, and the bench ships in its own carton. That works out to 3 cartons for the 5 piece set and 4 cartons for the 6 and 7 piece sets.

Care

Dust the table and frames with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills promptly. For the faux leather seats, a lightly damp cloth followed by a dry one keeps them looking fresh; skip harsh cleaners. Each piece carries a 1 year limited manufacturer warranty.
