A Compact Workspace with Power Close at Hand

If you need a place to answer email, pay bills or help with homework without giving up a whole room, the Preston writing desk is a practical fit. A gray woodgrain top sits on a slim black metal frame, and a V-shaped brace across the back gives the base its industrial look. Up top you get one drawer, two open cubbies and a built-in power outlet, so a laptop or phone can stay charged right where you work. The raised edge around the back and sides helps keep pens and papers from rolling off.
