Sofás Reclinables
A reclining sofa looks like a standard sofa until you pull the handle or press the button -- then each seat reclines independently. This makes them practical for rooms that function as both a living room and a media room. Key things to consider: manual recliners require pushing back with your body weight to open; power recliners use a motor and are easier for people with limited mobility. Wall-hugger mechanisms allow placement closer to the wall than standard reclining mechanisms. We carry reclining sofas in two and three-seat configurations, in fabric and leather, with manual and power options.
A reclining sofa seats the whole family in comfort. Most seat two to three adults, with each seat reclining independently via a pull-tab lever or button -- so one person can be fully reclined while another sits upright. We carry manual and power reclining sofas in 81 to 105-inch widths, in fabric and leather-match upholstery.
Power reclining sofas add motorized adjustment -- press a button on the armrest and both the back and footrest move simultaneously. Many power models include USB charging ports and LED lighting in the armrests. Standard cord connects to any 120V outlet.
What to Know Before You Buy
- Wall clearance: Traditional reclining sofas need 12 to 18 inches of clearance behind them to fully recline. Wall-hugger designs reduce this to 4 to 6 inches -- the right choice if your sofa sits close to a wall
- Manual vs power: Manual recliners are more reliable long-term (no electrical components to fail) and slightly less expensive. Power is easier to operate and better for family members with limited mobility
- Width considerations: A 3-seat reclining sofa is typically 8 to 9 feet wide when all seats are reclined. Make sure you have enough floor clearance in front of the sofa for the footrests to fully extend
- Matching sets: We carry most reclining sofas as part of sets with matching reclining loveseats and individual reclining chairs, so you can furnish a full living room in a coordinated style
