A stationary sofa is the standard sofa -- no reclining mechanism, no moving parts other than the cushions. The simplicity of the design means more of the budget goes toward frame quality, fabric, and cushion construction rather than mechanical components. Stationary sofas also tend to have more design variety than reclining sofas -- a wider range of arm styles, back heights, leg profiles, and configurations. They work well in formal living rooms, in rooms that get heavy decorative furniture use, and for anyone who does not need the reclining function. We carry stationary sofas in fabric and leather, in multiple sizes and styles.
