Stan Pickett opened Quality Home Furniture on US Highway 80 in Mesquite in 1975. His wife Mary Jo was beside him from the beginning — not as a silent partner, but as a co-founder who helped build the business from the ground up. Five decades later, their daughter Caitlin Barrick and her husband Jordan are carrying it into its third generation.
Quality Home has always been one thing: a local furniture store run by people who live here, know the market, and care about who walks through the door. That hasn't changed.

Stan founded Quality Home in 1975 with a straightforward idea: sell good furniture at honest prices and treat people right. He's been doing exactly that for fifty years. He remains active in the business today.
Mary Jo Pickett
Co-Founder & Co-Owner
Mary Jo co-founded Quality Home alongside Stan and has been part of the business from day one. For over thirty years she also served as an elementary music teacher in Sunnyvale, shaping generations of students before retiring. Her steadiness is woven into everything Quality Home is.
Caitlin Barrick
Third Generation
Stan and Mary Jo's daughter. Caitlin grew up in this store and is part of the team that's moving Quality Home forward into its next fifty years.
Jordan Barrick
COO & Third Generation
Caitlin's husband, and a full member of the family business. Jordan runs day-to-day operations and is focused on building the kind of store that earns clients for life.
What we believe
Furniture shopping shouldn't feel stressful. No commission pressure. No bait-and-switch pricing. No trying to figure out if you're being sold something because it's right for you or because the rep gets a better cut on it.
We carry England by La-Z-Boy, Flexsteel, Mayo, and a serious mattress program. These are the makers we'd spec for our own homes. When a client sits on a sofa in our showroom, we want them to still love it in ten years.
Delivery is done by a personally vetted crew — not a gig-economy app, not a different team every week. They show up in the window, bring everything inside, and place it where it belongs.
