Mayo 1300 Series Transitional Fabric Accent Chair -- Mayo Furniture, Texas-made since 1965
We don't add new brands often. When you've been in business since 1975, you get selective about whose furniture ends up on your floor. If it's going to carry our name behind it, it has to be something we'd put in our own homes.
Mayo Furniture passed that test fast.
This Is a Texas Brand
I want to be clear about something, because "Made in USA" gets thrown around a lot and it doesn't always mean what people think it means.
Mayo 1300 Series Transitional Fabric Loveseat -- Mayo Furniture, Texas-made since 1965
Mayo Furniture is built in Texarkana, Texas. Not assembled in the US from imported components. Not designed here and manufactured overseas. Built in Texas. Every frame, every cushion, every piece of fabric cut and assembled at their 156,000 sq ft plant in Texarkana by over 200 people who work there full time. Materials come from American suppliers. The whole supply chain.
Linn Mayo started this company in 1965 after coming home from Iwo Jima. His sons took over. Now his grandchildren run it. Sixty years, one location, one standard.
That matters to us. We're a Texas company too. Stan and Mary Jo started Quality Home in Mesquite in 1975, and we've spent the last five decades selling furniture to Texas families. We know what it means to have your family's name on everything you sell. Mayo gets it the same way.
The Furniture Itself
Beyond the story, the product has to hold up. And Mayo holds up.
Mayo 1300 Series Transitional Fabric Ottoman -- Mayo Furniture, Texas-made since 1965
Every frame is kiln-dried hardwood with mortise-and-tenon joinery. That's the same construction method used in fine woodworking, and it's rare in upholstered furniture because it costs more to do right. Mayo does it anyway.
The cushions use 2.0 lb high-density foam, which exceeds the industry standard of 1.8 lb. Ask about the coil spring upgrade if you want the firmest sit. All of it comes backed by a limited lifetime warranty on frames, cushions, and springs. That's not something most brands offer.
If you want to see what that looks like on an actual piece, start with the 9590 Series Leather Sofa. Clean track arms, top-grain leather, built to last. It's one of the pieces that shows off the frame quality best.
The Customization
This is where Mayo separates from most of what's out there at this price point.
Mayo 1731 Series Leather Sofa -- custom-order in your choice of leather at Quality Home
Over 550 fabrics, including performance options from Crypton and Revolution that hold up to pets and kids without looking worn out in two years. More than 85 top-grain leather options. Every piece is built to your cover choice and grade, so you're not picking from whatever happens to be in stock.
On select frames, the customization goes deeper. Arm style, pillow shape, cushion fill, nailhead trim, wood finish. If a frame offers those options, we'll walk you through what's available on that specific piece when you come in or reach out.
The Traditional Sofa with Rolled Arms is a good starting point to see how the fabric program works. The Customizable Deep Seat Sofa is worth a look if you want something with more generous seating depth. For a full room, the Casual Sectional with Wide Track Arms is where the custom cover program really pays off, because you're building something specific to your space anyway.
If you're furnishing a reading corner or a bedroom sitting area, the Customizable Accent Chair with Rolled Arms is one of our favorites. Compact, comfortable, and available in any fabric in the book.
It Ships in 3 to 5 Weeks
Most custom furniture takes 6 to 16 weeks. Mayo ships in 3 to 5 weeks from Texarkana. They've been refining that process for 60 years and it shows. Our clients shouldn't have to wait four months for a sofa.
