A Bedroom Set That Hides the Clutter

If your closet is already full, the Slater set gives you room to spare without crowding the bedroom. The platform bed has two deep drawers built into the footboard, the nightstands have two USB ports on the back for overnight charging, and the top drawer of each case piece is lined with black felt for watches, jewelry and other small things. A plank-style headboard, beveled edges, bun feet and dark metal pulls give it a classic look. Choose queen or king in black, antique white or light gray, then pick the grouping that fits your room.

Materials and Construction

Each piece is made from poplar wood and MDF with corner-blocked reinforcements. The bed rests on 13 slats, with 8 slat supports on the king and 7 on the queen, and no box spring is needed. Drawers use French and English dovetail joinery, 35 mm ball bearing glides with 3/4 extension and a built-in stopper, and the bottom drawers of the case pieces have a dust-proofing layer.

Assembly

The bed needs assembly and ships in 3 cartons (headboard, footboard with slats, and rails). The mirror also requires assembly. The nightstands, chest and dresser arrive assembled, one carton each.

Care

Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills promptly. Use coasters under drinks and keep pieces out of strong direct sunlight to help the finish last. Each piece carries a 1 year limited manufacturer warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a box spring with the Slater bed?

No. The Slater is a platform bed with 13 slats and center slat supports, so your queen or king mattress sits right on the slats without a box spring.

How much fits in the footboard drawers?

The bed has two footboard drawers. On the king, each drawer measures 36" W x 19" D x 15" H; on the queen, each is 28" W x 19" D x 15" H. That is plenty of room for spare blankets, pillows or seasonal bedding.

Will I have to put the set together?

Only partly. The bed arrives in 3 cartons (headboard, footboard with slats, rails) and needs assembly, and the mirror needs assembly too. The nightstands, chest and dresser come assembled.
