Bunk beds are the most space-efficient option for two children sharing a room, but the ceiling clearance, mattress thickness, and weight rating all need to match the specific model and the ages of the children using it. Our bunk bed collection covers twin-over-twin, twin-over-full, and L-shaped configurations in both standard and low-profile heights. Read our guide to choosing a bunk bed for safety requirements, size options, and what to measure before you buy.

Quality Home Furniture carries a solid selection of bunk beds and loft beds for kids and teens at our Mesquite, TX showroom. Twin-over-twin, twin-over-full, and full-over-full configurations -- plus loft beds with built-in desks and speakers for older kids who need a workspace in their room.

Hampton Kids Bunk Beds

The Hampton Kids collection from Elements International is our most popular bunk line for a reason. Built to hold up through childhood and into high school, these beds are available in multiple configurations:

  • Bunk with Ladder -- classic twin-over-twin, clean lines, fits most rooms
  • Bunk with Ladder and Trundle -- adds a pull-out trundle underneath for sleepovers or a sibling sharing the room
  • Bunk with Staircase and Trundle -- easier access for younger kids; the staircase steps double as drawers for extra storage
  • Loft with Ladder and Desk with Speaker -- raises the bed up, puts a full desk underneath with a Bluetooth speaker built into the headboard; works well for middle and high schoolers
  • Loft with Staircase and Desk with Speaker -- same loft-desk setup with staircase access instead of ladder

All Hampton Kids bunks and lofts are available as standalone beds or as complete bedroom sets including dresser, chest, and nightstand.

Sami Bunk Beds

The Sami collection offers a more modern take on the youth bunk. The Sami Step Bunk features built-in step storage on the side -- each step is a functional drawer. Available with left or right headboard orientation so it works in any room layout. The standard Sami Bunk is a straightforward twin-over-twin that fits tighter spaces without sacrificing durability.

Other Bunk and Loft Options

  • Talia Loft Bunk with Ladder -- compact loft configuration from Elements International
  • Ridgemont Loft Complete Bunk -- full loft with functional lower space

What to Know Before You Buy

  • Ceiling height matters. Most bunk beds need at least 8-foot ceilings for safe top-bunk headroom. Loft beds typically need a bit more. Measure first.
  • Ladder vs. staircase. Staircase bunks take more floor space but are easier and safer for kids under 6. Ladder bunks fit tighter rooms.
  • Trundle options. A trundle slides under the bottom bunk -- great for sleepovers, not ideal for a permanent second sleeper.
  • Weight limits. Our staff can pull the spec sheet on any bunk in the store. Ask before you buy.
