Media Chests
A media chest is a tall, narrow media storage unit -- similar to a chest of drawers but with an open or glass-door section designed for a flat-screen TV, often with cable management and shelf space for a streaming device or cable box. They work well in bedrooms where a large media console would dominate the space, and in smaller living rooms or bonus rooms where a compact footprint matters. Standard media chests are 28 to 36 inches wide -- check the recommended TV size range before buying, since a chest that is too narrow for the TV proportionally looks awkward.
